Catherine joined the Green Party in 2014 after many years of interest and involvement in the environment and nature. She is a classical musician and Forest School Leader and formerly worked as an orchestral education officer and arts and education consultant. She conducts the Open University Orchestra and Wind Band, the two local choirs. She lives in Olney and has stood in several local elections.
In December 2019, she was the Milton Keynes North candidate for the General Election. She is a member of the Olney Community Allotment and makes quince jelly for the Olney Museum Shop.
Catherine is currently working hard to win a seat on Milton Keynes Council in her home ward of Olney, where she has lived for 36 years. She is raising important issues such as better public transport, safer cycling and walking infrastructure, and better and more sustainable development for new homes.
