I have lived in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area all of my life and decided to stand for the Green Party in the upcoming Council Elections to try and change the profile and makeup of our local lawmakers. I have 3 children in local education and want to secure their future in a very fragile and changing world. What we decide to do today affects the chances they have in the future and so standing for the Green Party is my way of standing up for change.
I have worked in the IT Industry for the last 20 years and run teams of Service Managers across the UK. Although IT is my chosen career path the environment is my passion. I am a member of the Woodland Trust, the National Trust and English Heritage and try and do my bit whenever I have free time. I have a degree in Politics and also am currently studying for a degree in Environmental Studies at the Open University. I want to support the ward of Loughton and Shenley in protecting its Green spaces and ensuring local services are developed and designed to work for the future.
My wife is a Paramedic in the NHS and so I understand the challenges that our local and National Service sectors are facing and want to make sure they are there for our families old and young in years to come.
In my spare time, I love football with a season ticket at the MK Dons and I also love walking our dog Milo who is a very fluffy GoldenDoodle.
